Gaddafi Stadium’s 117-day completion marks an incredible accomplishment.

6 February 2025, Lahore: Prior to the Pakistan vs. New Zealand match on February 8, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) will host a grand opening ceremony on February 7 to greet cricket lovers. The ICC Champions Trophy 2025, which starts on February 19, will come after the tri-nation ODI series.

A spectacular light show, breathtaking fireworks, and live singing are just a few of the colorful festivities that fans can anticipate. A stunning drum and firework show will follow the riveting performances by well-known vocalists Ali Zafar, Arif Lohar, and Aima Baig. Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif will attend the opening ceremony, which will be free for the public starting at 5:30 p.m. and will create a memorable environment.

In a record 117 days, the PCB has converted the stadium into a contemporary cricketing arena under the direction of PCB Chair Mohsin Naqvi. Fans will now have an unmatched viewing experience thanks to the stadium’s upgraded LED lighting, two larger score screens, and cozy imported seats in every enclosure.

Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has personally been in charge of the reconstruction effort, visiting both during the day and at night to keep an eye on developments. World-class facilities, including recently constructed hospitality boxes and improved amenities for players and fans, are the product of his efforts.
